Indo-Pak Partition Agony

URGE FOR INDO-PAK COOPERATION

Historically, geographically, linguistically and culturally, no two other countries in the world share common feathers as India and Pakistan. In spite of such commonalities both countries are at loggerheads over the issues like recovery of abducted persons,, protection of shrines and holy places exchange of movable evacuee property, sharing of canal water and the status please Kashmir. After partition four major war has been fought and skirmishes are yet continuing causing a heavy loss of their economic and human resources. The recent initiative taken over 4-kilometer Kakrapar Corridor project nu both the countries are historical and confidence-building measure. with the laying, the Foundation Stone at the corridor India on November 26,2018 by the President of India Shree  Ramnath  Kovind followed by the Pakistan Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan on November 28,2018 has opened a new Vista in the relationship between the two countries.
The cross-border people-to-people  cultural contact through  pilgrimage diplomacy in the coming years may deepen their cultural faith and affinity further opening the gate for other communities  such as Kashmiri Hindus demand  for a long time to Visit Sharada Peeth in Neelam valley Pakistan Occupied Kashmir POK), PAK Sufi demand to visit the Dargah of  Khwaja-Moinuddin-Chisti in Rajasthan and Sikh of both countries wanting to visit famous shrines falling under their  sovereign territory.
But the pertinent question arises as to the extent the corridor issue will help tackle the problems like Kashmir. Nuclear tangle and forcibly export of terrorism by Pakistan into Indian territory. The future of maintaining stable cordial relations more or the less depends upon the given by the political leaders of Pakistan over Kashmir..was it relevant to raise the Kashmir issue by Pak Prime Minster Mr.Imran Khan at the sacred moment. of laying the foundation stone of Kartarpur ASahib Corridor .on the 28th November 2018?was Pakistan wanted to win the world public opinion in her favor by only declaring Kashmir as a part of Pakistan? Pak must realize that intermingling of nonpolitical matters by political matters will go to jeopardize the very objective of peace and tranquility in the south Asian region through the corridor. The people to people cultural contact will in the long run open a new avenues of traditional trade and business-like handicrafts, food processing and cosmetics products by bringing about economic prosperity among people of both the countries. Pak too much economic dependency upon eternal powers and financial institutions has almost crippled her already shattered economy. Recently terror attack upon China has once again compelled to rethink about her tacit support to Pakistan on the definition of terrorism. In the International politics, no country is permanently friend and foe of other countries. The National Interest of a nation is the determining factors in shaping the foreign policy of the nation concerned.

.         In order to succeed the corridor issue, the Pak political and military authority must make a pledge not to interfere unnecessarily in this nonpolitical matters..Beyond Corridor initiative taken by the two countries, the other areas of confidence-building measures may be extended in the field of art, craft, film, education, drama, S&T, rural and urban development. Building a better Indo-Pak relation is a necessary good not only for both the nations but also for South Asia and for the world peace. The ball is laying in the court of Mr. Imran Khan.
